The Limit feature on instagram is designed to protect you from unwanted comments or messages without blocking someone completely. When you limit a person:

· Their comments on your posts are only visible to them unless you approve them.

· They cannot see when you are online or when you’ve read their direct messages.

Steps to Limit Someone Temporarily:

Option 1: From Their Profile

1. Open Instagram and go to the person’s profile.

2. Tap the three-dot menu () at the top right.

3. Select Limit.

4. Confirm by tapping Limit Account.

Option 2: From Your Comments

1. Open your post where they commented.

2. Swipe left on their comment (iOS) or tap and hold (Android).

3. Tap the exclamation mark icon (⚠️) or Restrict/Limit.

4. Confirm the action.

Option 3: From Settings

1. Open instagram and go to your Profile.

2. Tap Menu () → Settings → Privacy → Comments.

3. Scroll to Restrict Comments From and add the person.

What Happens When You Limit Someone

· Their new comments are only visible to them unless you approve.

· They won’t know they’re limited.

· Their direct messages go to Message Requests.

To Remove the Limit Later

1. Go to the person’s profile or your privacy settings.

2. Tap Unlimit or remove them from the restricted list.

This is a temporary and subtle way to manage interactions without blocking or unfollowing someone.
