
Builder Gurunath Chichkar in Belapur, Navi mumbai, Maharashtra, recently committed suicide by shooting himself. Actually, NCB had exposed a big drug racket worth crores of rupees, in which both the sons of Gurunath Chichkar are accused. In this drugs case, Gurunath Chichkar was summoned to NCB, but before going before NCB, Gurunath Chichkar committed suicide by writing a suicide note. The suicide of construction businessman Gurunath Chichkar, living in nri police station area of Navi mumbai, created a stir in Navi Mumbai. Chichkar ended his life by shooting himself on friday (April 25).
SIT formed
In his suicide note, officials of Navi mumbai anti-drugs team were accused of harassing him. Taking into account these serious allegations, police Commissioner Milind Bharambe formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
According to Navi mumbai police sources, the preliminary investigation revealed that the entire syndicate of drugs racket mastermind naveen Chichkar was being handled by policeman Sachin Bhalerao.
Action on policeman
The preliminary investigation revealed that Sachin Bhalerao, a policeman employed at kharghar police station, was in constant contact with Gurunath Chichkar. As soon as he sensed the investigation, Sachin Bhalerao fled to his village, but the Navi mumbai Crime Branch team caught him from there. Three more people have been detained along with Bhalerao and intensive interrogation of all is going on.

According to sources, in the action taken in Nerul Sector-15, the drugs Department has arrested four people with drugs worth lakhs of rupees, while four other accused are absconding. Investigation has revealed that the mastermind of this drug racket is Gurunath Chichkar's son naveen Chichkar. All the arrested accused are said to be residents of Nerul. According to sources, policeman Sachin Bhalerao was handling the work of supplying drugs to naveen Chichkar. Bhalerao is working as a police Nayak and is currently posted at kharghar police Station. But there are reports of Bhalerao having a big role in the drug syndicate.
