Rockstar Games has released a new trailer of GTA 6. Recently the game developers announced that GTA 6 will now be launched in May 2026, which shocked those fans who were expecting it to come this year. The new part of this franchise has been awaited for the last 12 years and now it has become even longer. But this new three-minute trailer has given a new hope to the fans with some interesting information.
New twist in the story of Lucia and Jason
In the first trailer, we were introduced to Jason and Lucia, a criminal couple living in a fictional American state called Leonida. Now, the new trailer gives a glimpse of their past. Jason is initially shown doing small jobs and then driving in Vice City (which is inspired by Miami).
According to Rockstar, Jason was a troubled youth who joined the military to escape bad company but returned to crime. He then breaks Lucia out of prison to protect her family. The trailer then shows several action sequences, romantic scenes, and glimpses of the game's open world, such as armed robbery, partying on a yacht, and riding a jet-ski.
New world and new characters
The trailer also unveils several new characters, such as bank robber Raul Bautista, smuggler Brian Hader, and rap duo Real Dimes. The game also has a variety of locations, such as the Miami-like beachline, the swampy Everglades-inspired Grassrivers, the industrial area Leonida Keys, and the mountainous Calaga National Park. Each region will be home to different gangs and factions, such as the Hillbilly Mystics and biker gangs.
