Gopichand, a fictional hero, appeared in a couple movies as a villain early in his career. His antagonistic portrayals in the films Jayam, Nijam, and varsham got rave reviews from critics and viewers alike. He has now disclosed that he was also considered for the villain part in the 2003 hit movie Okkadu. Gopichand recently took part in the chat show Alitho Saradaga. During the conversation, he said that the okkadu film's producers approached him about playing the villain.
"I believe prakash raj was their top choice. However, it appears that he declined the invitation because the dates clashed. Then, the director Gunasekhar Garu and producer ms raju Garu came up to me. I was prepared to do it since I enjoyed the story, Gopichand added. But fate had other plans, so I was compelled to miss the film.
However, prakash raj may have called them to say that he would change the film's release date and schedule. Then they decided on him," he continued. If prakash raj had utterly declined the offer, Gopichand would have played the legendary Obul reddy part. However, Gopichand received an offer for the movie varsham, directed by the same ms raju and released exactly a year after Okkadu.
