Konda Vishweshwar reddy, a former mp and industrialist, has finally decided to join the bharatiya janata party after much hesitation for more than two years. At the party's national executive committee meeting on thursday in Hyderabad, he declared that he would be joining the bjp shortly. reddy, the son-in-law of C Pratap reddy, the head of the Apollo Group of Hospitals, served as the trs representative for the Chevella parliamentary district from 2014 to 2018. He turned on the congress leader and left. He left the congress party after the 2019 midterm elections and has been independent ever since.

"I came to the realisation that under the current conditions, only the bjp can dethrone the trs in Telangana. J P Nadda, the national head of the bjp, and I had only recently met. He suggested that I join the party on July 2 or 3. In the upcoming general elections, I intend to run as a candidate for mp," he stated. The former mp had previously claimed that while support for the bjp is increasing, people do not have much faith in the congress party. In May, Vishweshwar reddy met in private with Bandi Sanjay at the padayatra camp of the bjp state president in the Devarkadra electoral district. A P Jithender reddy, a former member of parliament, also participated in the hour-long conversation.

The former mp praised Sanjay for confronting the ruling party head-on and expressed his happiness at the padayatra's overwhelming public support. Meanwhile, Komatireddy Rajagopal reddy, a Munugode congress MLA, is anticipated to also join the BJP. He has already avoided participating in Congress-related activities. Rajagopal, who has previously praised prime minister Narendra Modi and stated that the bjp is the only alternative to the trs, refrained from the May meeting of congress leader rahul gandhi in Warangal, signalling that he won't stick with the group for long and will soon join the saffron party.
