In a statement released here on Friday, KT Rama Rao claimed that "lying about anything is in the dna of the bjp party, and MoS Rajeev chandrasekhar has readily done the same now." The minister claimed that the ITIR project had been abandoned by the bjp government because the trs was politically opposed to the federal government. He blasted them for engaging in dishonest politics.

He added that "There's no contribution from central government in the enormous expansion of IT industry in Hyderabad" and that Telangana's IT sector has lost a significant potential to grow further as a result of the ITIR project's cancellation. The minister stated that on each trip to New Delhi, he and chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had individually made several demands to prime minister Narendra Modi and other union Ministers. He claimed that despite Telangana's persistent efforts to persuade, there was still no favourable response.

Despite the unfavourable economic conditions that were imposed on the nation as a result of the lockdown, demonetization, and general governmental inaction, he claimed that Telangana's IT sector had grown faster than India's whole IT sector. Rama Rao ridiculed the bjp government for claiming to have abandoned a project intended to enhance the IT Sector in favour of other non-IT Projects, arguing that Telangana's IT ecosystem would have expanded exponentially had the ITIR been put into effect.
