J. C. Diwakar reddy, a senior telugu desam party leader and former mp from Anantapur, hasn't been heard from in quite some time. He has essentially avoided current politics. Diwakar reddy, who is renowned for speaking truth to power and making scathing remarks about members of his own party, on wednesday levelled some pointed criticism at Nara lokesh, the son of party general secretary and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The former Anantapur mp responded to Lokesh's current padayatra by saying that such yatras are out of date. He claimed that padayatras had lost all relevance in modern politics and had turned into an old-fashioned political tactic. He emphasised that such yatras were no longer taken seriously by the populace. He claimed that because of their increased expectations of the leaders, they were less concerned with the padayatras these days.

When the people's favourite leader embarked on a padayatra in the past, according to Diwakar reddy, there was a great deal of joy among them. "In the past, individuals would often respond impulsively to such yatras. There is no longer any such euphoria. They are all compensated by yatras totaling millions of dollars, he claimed. Although he did not mention lokesh by name, it was very clear from his remarks that he was making reference to the young leader's padayatra. Contrary to his candid remarks, Diwakar reddy is no longer taken seriously, which is a distinct issue.
