Wipro cuts salaries by 50 per cent for Jobs...

Wipro is cutting new workers' compensation even though it had promised them sizable yearly salaries. The software giant first claimed that it would pay undergraduates a yearly compensation of Rs 6.5 lakh if they successfully completed their training at Wipro. Yet according to the official email given to new recruiters, the prospects must now accept a salary that is about 50% less than what was initially provided.

Freshmen were let go by wipro at the beginning of the year after they failed an internal test due to poor performance. The modified low-salary offer has been extended to all wipro applicants who took part in the company's Velocity graduates programme this year.

Without pressuring them to accept the offer, the corporation provides the applicants with a specific amount of time to consider if they want to join the team at a lesser wage or not.

Freshers were waiting to be onboarded on february 16 when they received an onboarding email with a package of Rs 6.5 LPA. Instead, they received a deadline with a reduced package for 3.5 LPA and were requested to respond by february 20, according to MoneyControl.

If a candidate chooses not to accept the lower offer, they have the option of keeping their previous offer.

The offer at Rs 6.5 LPA had been anticipated by him and many other applicants, therefore the individual who received the email and spoke with Moneycontrol felt it was unfair. The corporation is paying employees less money due to changes in the business environment and macro environment, which means reducing expenses and maintaining the company's future ambitions.
