Yesterday, the hottest topic of discussion was Vijay not paying the entry tax amount for his Luxurious Rolls Royce car and even the judge ordered him to pay a fine of Rs.1 Lakh for demanding an exemption as he already earns in Crores. Now, when we look back at the past, sachin tendulkar got a ferrari car from Michael Schumacher in the year 2000 when he crossed the legendary Don Bradman's record of 29 Centuries tally.

During that time, when sachin tendulkar requested for Tax exemption, the government also gave the Cricketing god a complete tax exemption of 1.13 Crores. If Sachin won this costly gift on a cricket match, it would have easily and legally got an exemption from the customs duty, but as it came as a gift, it was a must for the Cricketing god to pay the taxable amount.

During that time, Pramod Mahajan was the Income Tax minister and he allowed Sachin for the Tax exemption for the ferrari car. Late Vajpayee was the prime minister for india at that time and even Sachin faced lots of heat for getting this tax exemption benefit. As per Customs Rule 25 of 1962, such tax exemption can be provided only for good and urgent matters which are essential for society and so far only sachin tendulkar has availed this benefit.
