The film jai Bhim, starring Suriya, has made news for all the bad purposes. "It's not fair to present a set of people in a terrible light to laud others," actor santhanam stated during the marketing of his picture, Sabhaapathy, amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the movie. His remark has fueled the debate and caused outrage among Suriya's admirers on social networking sites.



Santhanam said that he is oblivious of the "I Stand With Suriya" hashtags on social media because he is too preoccupied with the advertising. While some supporters have chastised santhanam for his remarks about Suriya and jai Bhim, he has received support from some other segment of the fanbase on Twitter. After Santhanam's emotional address at the event yesterday, the hashtag #WeStandWithSanthanam is trending on Twitter.


Suriya, on the other hand, has got a number of threats since the movie's premiere. Due to fears, Suriya's apartment in madras has been heavily guarded. The movie jai Bhim has sparked outrage for purportedly badmouthing the Vanniyar community. Suriya also retaliated against santhanam by referring to comedic actor soori as a hero in an oblique manner and that also drawn hatred.
