With no takers for a theatre release and the film's brutal material raising concerns about a Censor certificate, Keerthy Suresh's new film "Chinni" was distributed directly on amazon Prime Video. With flops like Penguin, Miss India, and Gudluck Sakhi under her belt, this film has no chance. But then she made her fans' collars stand up.

"Chinni" tells the narrative of a police officer whose husband and daughter were killed in a fire, and she is raped by four powerful people in her village. The rest of the plot is around her taking revenge on them by killing them all. It's definitely Keerthy Suresh's show, as she has astonished everyone with her incredible transformation into a country woman. And her acting skills are on full display this time, as she portrays pain, suffering, and a craving for blood all in the same frame, all the time. The film is a gift for her admirers, thanks to her powerful performance and breathtaking graphics.

Though Keerthy did an excellent job, the plot lacks emotional resonance with the audience as the lead actress carries off all the killings with ease. Despite Selvaraghavan's excellent performance, his role failed to elicit empathy, despite the finale twist resulting in a tearful moment. However, the bloodshed depicted throughout the film may not appeal to all segments of society.
