For the sankranti holidays, schools in hyderabad and neighbouring areas of telangana will be closed for six days in January. The director of school education's academic calendar says that the holiday applies to all educational institutions excluding missionary schools.

Sankranti holidays for schools in Telangana

The government has scheduled sankranti vacations for schools from january 12 to 17. Schools will prepare for formative assessment 4 after this holiday. Summer break for schools is scheduled from april 24 to june 11, 2024, according to the academic calendar.

Sankranti, Bhogi

The state government has announced sankranti and bhogi vacations not only for schools in hyderabad and other telangana districts, but also for general holidays.

There are two other holidays specified in addition to these: january 25 as an optional holiday for Hazrath Ali's birthday and january 26 as a general holiday for Republic Day.

On january 26, schools in hyderabad and other telangana regions will raise the indian flag in the morning, followed by a vacation.

Meanwhile, intermediate students will be off from january 13 to 16, while junior colleges will resume on january 17. The pre-final examinations will be place from january 22 to january 29.

From february 1 to 15, intermediate practical tests for both general and vocational courses will be held. The english practical test for first-year students enrolled for the academic year 2023-24 is scheduled for february 16.
