Famous lawyer Pali Nariman passed away... He bought bail for JJ..!?

Eminent legal expert and senior advocate Fali S Nariman passed away this morning. He is 95 years old. Eminent lawyer Fali S Nariman practiced as a lawyer for more than 70 years. An alumnus of the government Law College, mumbai, he began his practice as an advocate in the bombay High Court. He was later appointed Additional Solicitor General (ASG) by the indira gandhi government in 1972. Accordingly, from 1972 to 1975, he was the Additional Solicitor of the Central Government. However, Nariman resigned when indira gandhi imposed a national emergency.Supreme court lawyer Fali Nariman was awarded the Padma bhushan in 1991 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2007. Pali Nariman was a supreme court advocate from 1971 and President of the Bar Association of india from 1991 to 2010. He was awarded the lal bahadur shastri National Award in 2018 for excellence in public administration. He was also a nominated member of the rajya sabha from 1999 to 2005. His son Rohindan Nariman is also a senior advocate of the supreme Court.In India's most famous constitutional cases, Pali Nariman has defended the cases of many leading political leaders. In that way, Pali Nariman has defended jayalalithaa, Sasikala, and others in the asset embezzlement case and bought bail for Jayalalithaa. Judge Cunha of karnataka Special court sentenced Jayalalitha, Sasikala, Illasasi, and Sudhakaran to 4 years imprisonment in the asset embezzlement case.
 He also ordered to impose a fine of 100 crores. Senior advocate Pali Nariman argued that jayalalithaa should be granted bail in this case. Based on that, jayalalitha was granted bail in this case. So his arguments became the main reason why jayalalithaa was granted bail. Fali S Nariman argued for Union Carbide in the bhopal gas case that rocked the nation. But he recently admitted that he was wrong. Fali S Nariman passed away in delhi today due to ill health. Senior lawyers and political leaders are condoling his death.
