After a lacklustre first day at the box office, the much awaited vijay deverakonda film "Family Star" had a massive collapse on its second day, grossing little over Rs 4 crores, a decrease in receipts of more than 30%. On the second day, the movie's shares in some regions were surprisingly low: 6 lakhs in Guntur, 5 lakhs in the West, 4 lakhs in Nellore, and 3.5 lakhs in the East, for a total of about 45 lakhs in ap (including Ceeded). It received ₹80 lakhs in Nizam on the second day, for a total of ₹2.3 crores in two days.

The movie had a dismal occupancy rate of 28.62% in telugu states and 18.39% in tamil Nadu, and it had trouble keeping up its pace. At present, the global total collected amounts to around Rs 9.5 crore, which is Vijay Deverakonda's lowest opening weekend gross. In contrast, "Tillu Square" in Nizam made ₹90 lakhs on its ninth day of business, or ₹16.8 crores without GST. Tillu Square is performing better on its ninth day than Family Star was on its second, which illustrates Family Star's dismal box office performance!
