The maharashtra Unit of the congress claimed on tuesday that the son of a maharashtra MLA was involved in the porsche collision in Pune, which killed two persons. Nana Patole, the maharashtra congress head, made the charge during a news conference on tuesday, claiming that the member whose son was reportedly implicated used his influence to cover up the incident.

He also requested that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigate the tragedy and that deputy chief minister devendra fadnavis stand down. On May 19, two IT workers were killed when a porsche, reportedly driven by a 17-year-old intoxicated, ploughed over them in Pune's kalyani Nagar district.

The event sparked widespread criticism as the Juvenile Justice Board first granted bail to the boy and required him to write an essay on traffic accidents. However, this judgement was later overruled, and the youngster was placed in an observation home until june 5.

"The cbi must investigate the vehicle collision case since there appears to be political intervention to protect the wealthy defendants. devendra fadnavis utilised his legal degree to defend the guilty. chief minister Eknath Shinde should provide clarification in the situation, and Fadnavis' involvement is also uncertain; he should quit," Patole remarked.

Furthermore, Patole said that the Sassoon General Hospital was a five-star hotel for criminals. "While the state is reeling under severe drought, instances of drunken driving and drugs are on the rise," said the congressman.

"Such incidents have been reported in Nagpur, Jalgaon and Pune, but what is infuriating is that efforts were made through the government system to ensure that the privileged accused gets immediate bail," said the congress leader.

Patole further stated that in Fadavis' hometown of Nagpur, two females smashed two young people to death with their automobile and were granted bail within 10 hours, and that a similar occurrence occurred in Jalgaon, when an endeavour was made to save the accused.
