Whose work is being done on a large scale for years, the work of this bullet train connecting mumbai to ahmedabad is going on at a rapid pace, Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav is constantly seen inspecting the bullet train station. In such a situation, let us tell you that the mumbai Bullet train Station located in Bandra Kurla Complex is the only underground station on the mumbai ahmedabad Bullet train Corridor. The work of its tunnel was started last year. The platform is planned to be built at a depth of about 26 meters from the ground. It will have three floors including platform, concourse and service floor.
One to facilitate access to the nearest metro station of Metro Line 2B and the other towards MTNL Bhawan. The station is being excavated 32 metres deep below the ground, which is equivalent to a 10-storey building. The station will have 6 platforms, each 415 metres long, and will be connected to the metro and road, with two entry/exit points. The station is planned in such a way that there is adequate space for passenger movement and amenities. Skylights have been provided for natural light.
Progress of the station
1. About 76% i.e. 14.2 lakh cubic metres of excavation has been completed, the total target is 18.72 lakh cubic metres.
2. There are three 120 m3/hr capacity batching plants on site, which keep the temperature of the concrete controlled.
3. There is a modern concrete lab on site, where all necessary tests are carried out and samples are sent to reputed labs from time to time.
4. The bullet train station will use M-60 concrete in the base slab and M-80 concrete in the columns. Out of 2 lakh cubic metres of concrete required for base slab, 27,000 cubic metres has been cast so far.
5. M-60 grade temperature controlled concrete is being used for base slab, each casting requires 3000–4000 cubic metres of concrete.
6. 100% of secant piling (3384), capping beam (2203 RMT) and flood wall (2078 RMT) work has been completed at site..jpg)
