⚠️ THIS IS WHERE YOUR TAX MONEY ACTUALLY WENT

While you were paying GST, TDS, fuel taxes, and EMIs — while you were told to be patient because “reforms take time” — over ₹10,000 crore meant to skill India’s unemployed youth quietly vanished.

Not into development.
Not into jobs.

But into fake bank accounts, ghost training centres, recycled photographs, and NGO balance sheets.

This is not an allegation from activists or opposition parties.
This is the finding of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

And the audit is devastating.

1️⃣ THE NUMBER THAT SHOULD HAVE ENDED CAREERS

Under the Skill india Mission:

  • ₹12,574 crore was allocated

  • 95% of beneficiary bank accounts were fake or invalid

Read that again.

Not 5%.
Not 15%.
Ninety-five percent.

Some account numbers were so fake they didn’t even try to hide it:

11111111

This isn’t sloppiness.
This is audacity.

2️⃣ FAKE PEOPLE, REAL PAYMENTS

According to the audit:

  • The same photographs were reused across multiple states

  • One “candidate” was trained in different locations simultaneously

  • Biometric attendance was fabricated

  • Centres that were officially “operational” were physically closed

Yet payments continued to flow.

This wasn’t a leak in the system.

This was the system.

3️⃣ TRAINING CENTRES THAT EXISTED ONLY ON POWERPOINT

On paper:

  • Thousands of centres

  • Lakhs of youth trained

  • Certificates issued

On ground:

  • Locked buildings

  • No trainers

  • No equipment

  • No students

The audit found that nearly half of the so-called trained youth cannot even be traced today.

They were numbers — not people.

4️⃣ THE BIG LIE: “SKILLING LEADS TO JOBS.”

This was the selling point.

The reality?

  • Only 18% placement rate

  • Certificates with zero market value

  • No employer verification

  • No tracking after payout

youth remained unemployed.
But NGOs didn’t.

5️⃣ WHO BENEFITED? NOT THE YOUTH

Let’s be very clear.

This money did not disappear into thin air.

It went to:

  • Middlemen

  • Shell NGOs

  • Training partners with political connections

  • Consultants and aggregators

While:

  • The youth stayed jobless

  • Certificates meant nothing

  • Accountability never came

This was upward redistribution disguised as welfare.

6️⃣ SIX YEARS. zero ACCOUNTABILITY.

The most damning part?

This audit covers years of implementation.

And yet:

  • No mass prosecutions

  • No recovery of funds

  • No ministerial resignations

  • No systemic overhaul

When ₹10,000+ crore disappears, and nobody is punished, it sends one message:

This wasn’t a failure. It was protected.

7️⃣ WHY THIS IS WORSE THAN A REGULAR SCAM

Most scams steal money.

This one stole:

  • Money

  • Time

  • Hope

  • An entire generation’s trust

Young indians were told:

“Get skilled. Jobs will follow.”

They did.
Jobs didn’t.

🧨 FINAL VERDICT: THIS WAS LOOT, NOT LEAKAGE

Let’s stop pretending this was incompetence.

  • Fake accounts don’t happen accidentally

  • Reused photos aren’t clerical errors

  • Ghost centres don’t pass unnoticed

This was industrial-scale looting, wrapped in the language of empowerment.

You paid the tax.
The youth paid with unemployment.

Someone else walked away rich.

And until accountability begins at the top, not the bottom —
Skill india will remain a case study in how public money is stolen in plain sight.
