On Wednesday, Defence minister Rajnath Singh commended the military for launching targeted precision strikes against terror camps in pakistan and Pakistan-occupied kashmir (PoK), claiming that the strikes were directed at individuals responsible for the deaths of innocent people.

Singh thanked prime minister Narendra Modi for his unwavering support of the military forces that conducted Operation Sindoor while speaking at the opening of 50 infrastructure projects by the Border Roads Organization (BRO) in six states and two Union Territories.

"The action demonstrates both our moral restraint and military accuracy. "Jin mohi maara, tin mohi maare," as Lord Hanuman once said. Thus, we exclusively hit those who hurt our innocents," he declared.

According to Singh, the military shown tact to make sure that no civilian area or population was impacted.

"As everyone is aware, the indian army made history last night by showcasing their bravery and valour.  The indian military has acted sensitively, precisely, and with awareness.  According to the prearranged plan, the targets we had set were precisely eliminated," he stated.

"That is, the army has shown a kind of precision, precaution and compassion for which I congratulate our army soldiers and officers on behalf of the entire country," he stated.

He claimed that india used its "right to respond" to the attack on its territory and that the operation's goal was to demoralize the terrorists.

"We have taken our measures extremely carefully and methodically.  with the intention of depressing the terrorists' spirits.  Only their camps and other facilities have been affected by this action," he stated.

Singh described the operation as India's well-considered response to the recent terror incident in pahalgam, referring to the air and artillery strikes against militant infrastructure in pakistan and PoK.

"Once again, under prime minister Narendra Modi's leadership, our forces have struck back at terror training camps and their infrastructure, a firm and appropriate reply," he stated.

Additionally, he thanked PM Modi for his unwavering support of the military and commended their role in honorably defending the country.

In a coordinated operation that lasted 25 minutes, the army, Navy, and air Force struck terror camps at nine different locations around pakistan and the PoK in the early hours of Wednesday.  "Non-escalatory" and "measured" was how the military described its reactions.

Markaz Taiba of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Muridke, Markaz Subhan Allah of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in Bahawalpur, Hizbul Mujahideen's Mehmoona Joya Facility in Sialkot, and LeT's base in Markaz Ahle Hadith in Barnala and its camp in Shawai Nalla in Muzaffarabad were all targeted by the indian military as part of Operation Sindoor, authorities said.

India opted to conduct out "proportionate" attacks to bring the perpetrators and planners of the april 22 pahalgam attack to account since pakistan had taken "no demonstrable step" to act against terrorist infrastructure on areas under its control, according to Foreign Secretary vikram Misri.
