The same dream keeps happening to Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana from The Friendship Game).  A terrible accident claimed the lives of her grandma, Iris (played by Brec Bassinger, a former Stargirl), and numerous others.  She is startled to learn that Iris foresaw those precise events, and as a result, all of those individuals survived—albeit briefly.  Iris, who is played by Gabrielle Rose as "old Iris," recounts that death eventually befell everyone, including their offspring.  Stefani soon discovers that this also holds true for her and her family.  She embarks on a mission to prevent horrific killings from happening to her and her family. The outcomes might differ.
A fully computer-generated scene in a restaurant in the sky introduces Final Destination Bloodlines.  This franchise hasn't typically required that kind of visual effects work until the actual killing occurs.  But as the scene progresses, Final Destination Bloodlines is positioned for success thanks to the performances and the setup.  This pattern is maintained in many disciplines throughout the movie.  A cleverly positioned moment of humor saves the day just when you think a situation is going to be incredibly theatrical.
It's challenging to navigate the Final Destination franchise's tone.  Not only must actors avoid being overly serious, but they also cannot play every scene as a joke.  While the latter pulls the viewer away from the tone that everyone else is attempting to maintain, the former detracts from the organic humor that results from a montage of funerals.  Fortunately, Bloodlines keeps that equilibrium.
However, the most recognizable cast member is none other than Tony Todd, the horror icon who is playing William Bludworth again. Final Destination: Bloodlines was the final film the late actor shot before his tragic death last year, but he still has six more roles to go. Seeing these films with a large audience is a delight and an honor. During my viewing, there were multiple applaud breaks, but none were as thunderous as when Todd arrived.
The entire film ends when he shows up, even though it's only one scene—possibly for the best given his health at the time.  Todd's sequence is the only one in Bloodlines that is genuinely genuine, yet there is still that constant feeling of dread that the Final Destination movies excel at.
One of the biggest surprises of the year might turn out to be Final Destination Bloodlines.  Santa Juana is an excellent lead, and she may continue to be a staple in horror films for some time to come.  Given her excellent work here, she can easily lead movies like this.  Even though the term "quality" in the horror genre is usually ambiguous, I think Bloodlines' overwhelming caliber will astound both fans and detractors.  Final Destination Bloodlines is a spectacle, a thrill trip, and undoubtedly the funniest installment in the genre. It was filmed for IMAX, had a stellar cast, and was ultimately well-made.
Overall, A Guaranteed crowd-pleaser!
