In china, he will hold bilateral talks with his counterpart Wang Yi. During this, he can also meet Afghanistan's acting Foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. He is arriving in china on tuesday (May 20, 2025).
According to a Geo news report, the three foreign ministers will also participate in a trilateral meeting. The visit comes soon after Operation Sindoor, which india launched after the pahalgam terror attack and destroyed terrorist hideouts in PoK as well as Pakistan.
