The central government has clarified the campaign that America is behind the "Operation Sindoor" launched by india after the pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, as well as the ceasefire decisions taken thereafter. It has been concluded that there is no truth in this campaign. In particular, US President Donald Trump's repeated tweets and statements in the past that he had stopped the India-Pakistan war and agreed to a ceasefire after talks have now been found to be baseless. In a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on External Affairs, Foreign Secretary vikram Misri clarified on these matters on behalf of the Center. This committee is headed by congress MP Shashi Tharoor. The Center has clarified to this committee that the US has no role in Operation Sindoor or the ceasefire. This has made it clear that there is no truth in the propaganda being made by trump and the opposition.
Vikram Misri said that india itself launched Operation Sindoor in response to the pahalgam attack. He revealed that regarding the ceasefire, a request was received from the director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan. Misri explained that the Pakistani DGMO contacted the indian DGMO in delhi and requested a ceasefire. He said that after the phone call from the Pakistani DGMO, india and pakistan agreed to stop the war on May 12. However, it is reported that the Center believes that US President trump has contacted the Pakistani government and suggested that india should request a ceasefire. That is why trump has repeatedly claimed that he ended the war. trump has already revealed several times that he blocked trade and forced the two countries to agree to a ceasefire. However, the Center seems to have clarified to the parliament committee that india did not seek any commercial benefits for the ceasefire with Pakistan.
This development not only questions Trump's past statements but also clarifies India's autonomy in key defense and foreign affairs decisions. It reiterates that there is no external interference in India's foreign policy and that the country takes decisions based only on its national interests.
