A 16-year franchise record has been shattered by Final Destination Bloodlines. The sixth part in the supernatural horror series, the new film centers on college student Stefani Reyes (Kaitlyn Santa Juana) when she discovers that Death itself is targeting her and her family. The new Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thunderbolts* finished its two-week reign at the top of the US box office when the Final Destination Bloodlines premiered the weekend before Memorial Day. Furthermore, in just three days, it surpassed the total revenue of 2003's Final Destination 2 with its astounding $102 million global premiere.

Bloodlines has not only become the franchise's highest-grossing film, but it has done so remarkably quickly.  As of this writing, its domestic box office receipts of $94.3 million alone have surpassed the global total of Final Destination 2, which only made $90.4 million over its whole theatrical run.  An analysis of the latest installment's performance in relation to the earlier Final Destination films can be found below:
Although Final Destination Bloodlines has the most reported budget in the franchise ($50 million), its box office performance has also surpassed that obstacle. The reported budgets of the previous two installments are the second-highest at $40 million.  The new film's expected break-even point is approximately $125 million, which it has already surpassed, given that films normally require to recoup two and a half times their expenses.
