Many fans saw chris Hemsworth's latest social media post and video as a sign that his tenure in the MCU may be nearing to an end. There have even been rumors that his next appearance in Avengers: Doomsday may be his last time swinging Mjölnir.

Though it's possible that this is the case, it sounds like Marvel Studios may be moving on with a few Thor-related projects sans Hemsworth if he intends to hang up the hammer.

Daniel Richtman is now claiming that another project called Thor Quest is also in development, following a recent speculation that a fifth solo Thor film, excluding love and Thunder filmmaker Taika Waititi, is officially moving forward.

The scooper has no more information, and we don't know if this will be a Disney+ series or a movie (the latter is likely a safer option). There are various children's activity books published by Disney, but there aren't any comic books specifically called Thor Quest.  Might this be a brand-new animated series aimed at families?

"Playing Thor has been one of the greatest honors of my life," Hemsworth wrote in his recent post. "For the last 15 years I've held Mjolnir and then Stormbreaker as the god of Thunder, but what made it truly special… was sharing it with all of you. Your passion, your cheers, and your love for this character have meant everything to me. Thank you for making my journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe unforgettable... Next up, Doomsday!"
