
Train ticket fare hike: indian Railways has announced that it will increase train ticket fares from July 1, 2025. It has been said that this change will be applicable only to selected classes and specific services. It has caused concern, especially among long-distance passengers. The Railways has said that this decision is an attempt to improve services and maintain business strength. How much does the AC class cost?: In the new train fare system, the maximum fare has been increased for AC class passengers. According to the new rules, indian Railways has announced that 2 paise will be charged more for every kilometer. Although this change will not affect short-distance journeys much, it will significantly increase the cost of long-distance AC journeys. As a result, passengers who want to travel in AC class have had to make changes to their budget in advance. Railway officials have explained that this increase has been made with the aim of improving convenient services.
New PAN card + Aadhaar verification: As per the recently released rules, Aadhaar card verification has been made mandatory for new PAN cards. With this, the authorities are tightening security measures with the aim of preventing the spread of duplicate or forged PAN cards in the system. These rules will come into effect from July 1.
Monthly GSTR-3B form cannot be edited: According to the Goods and services Tax Network (GSTN), the monthly GST payment form GSTR-3B will not be editable from July 1. The GST portal provides a pre-filled GSTR-3B form. In this, the tax liability will be automatically filled based on the outward supplies declared in GSTR-1, GSTR-1A, and IFF. While till now taxpayers were not able to edit the auto-filled values in the GSTR-3B form, they will be able to edit it under the current practice. However, with the new rule coming into effect, this amendment will not be available to taxpayers now.
Income Tax Filing Deadline Extension: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns (ITR) for the financial year 2024-25 and assessment year 2025-26 to september 15, 2025. This will give people a few more months to file their income tax returns.
