The accused, a government employee, allegedly wanted Rs 1.5 lakh from her parents in order to pay auto loan installments, according to the complaint submitted to the Ambegaon police station. He allegedly beat her after she refused, threatening to release the private video online if she didn't comply.
By sections 85 (cruelty by spouse or family) and 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), as well as other pertinent provisions, police have filed a complaint against the husband, his mother, three sisters, and the husbands of two of the sisters.
According to authorities, the 31-year-old lady claimed that ever since they were married, she had been the target of constant physical and psychological abuse from her husband and his family.
"An investigation into the claims is in progress," a police official verified.

The police officer, Sub-Inspector Ravikant Goswami, is accused of sexually assaulting the constable and using pornographic videos to blackmail her, according to the complaint, which was submitted on monday at a mathura police station.
"Taking cognisance of the serious allegations, Sub-Inspector Ravikant Goswami, posted at Chirgaon police station, has been suspended with immediate effect," stated jhansi Senior Superintendent of police BB GTS Murthy in an official statement.
The Circle Officer (City) has been instructed to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter, the SSP added.
Police stated that further action will be taken in light of the investigation's results.
