Imran Khan’s sister Uzma Khanum visited him inside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
She stated that Imran Khan’s health is “fine”, countering widespread rumours about his physical condition.
Uzma, however, alleged that the former PM is facing mental harassment in custody.
According to her:
He is kept locked in his cell throughout the day.
He is “deliberately troubled” with attempts to stress him psychologically.
Uzma claimed that pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir is responsible for Khan’s current situation.
The meeting between Uzma and Imran reportedly lasted around 20 minutes.
🔹 Security Tightened in Rawalpindi
Authorities in Rawalpindi have imposed Section 144 for three days.
This decision came amid increasing speculation and rumours about Imran Khan’s well-being.
The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema.
Under Section 144:
All public gatherings are banned, including rallies, sit-ins, jalsas, dharnas, processions, and demonstrations of five or more people.
Carrying weapons, batons, sling shots, petrol bombs, and other objects that could aid violence is prohibited.
Display of arms, except by law enforcement, is restricted.
Hate speech, use of loudspeakers, and pillion riding are also banned.
These restrictions are effective from december 1 to december 3, under the Code of criminal Procedure (Punjab Amendment) Act, 2024.
🔹 Political Mobilisation by PTI
Despite the movement restrictions, pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) plans to continue demonstrations.
Leadership asserts that protests will not be cancelled despite Section 144.
On december 1, khyber pakhtunkhwa Chief minister Sohail Afridi announced:
PTI leaders will first protest outside the Islamabad High Court.
Later, they will move toward Adiala Jail.
Their objective is to show solidarity with Khan’s sisters and seek a direct meeting with the jailed PTI founder.
