Borur police arrested a fake IAS officer who defrauded a doctor of Rs 70 lakh by claiming to be a member of the All india Medical Council.


Selvakumar (62) is working as a doctor in a private hospital in Borur. He filed a complaint at the Avadi City police Commissioner's office that he was cheated and that appropriate action should be taken against those who cheated him and extorted money.


In his complaint, he said, “I have retired as a professor from a private medical college in Borur and am working there as a doctor. I got acquainted with Sasikumar (46) from salem through my friends.


Sasikumar, claiming to be an IAS officer, expressed his desire to contest for me as a member of the All india Medical Council and said that he would get it himself. Believing this, I paid him about Rs.70 lakh in 3 installments on the college campus.


But, after receiving the money, he has been delaying the position till now. He is cheating me by not returning my money. sasikumar is not answering my cell phone calls either. Appropriate action should be taken against him and I should get my money.


The complaint was forwarded to the Borur police station. Based on this report, the Borur police formed a special force and actively searched for Sasikumar, who was involved in money laundering. In this case, sasikumar from salem was arrested and interrogated by the police. It was revealed that sasikumar was a lawyer and that he pretended to be an IAS officer and cheated doctor Selvakumar with money.


It is also revealed that he was working as a policeman and was arrested and fired on a fraud complaint. Subsequently, they seized the fake collector ID cards from Sasikumar. The police said that they are interrogating him
