1 cup wiped clean and chopped vazhaipoo (banana flower)


half cup moong dal (yellow cut up lentils) or chana dal


1/four teaspoon turmeric powder


Salt to flavor


1/four teaspoon asafoetida


For the coconut paste:


1/2 cup grated coconut


1 teaspoon cumin seeds


2-three dried purple chilies (adjust to spice desire)


For tempering:


1 teaspoon oil


half teaspoon mustard seeds


1 teaspoon urad dal


Few curry leaves

prepare dinner the Dal:

Wash moong dal and stress cook it with turmeric powder till smooth. barely mash it and set apart.


prepare dinner banana Flower:

Boil the chopped banana flower in water with a pinch of turmeric and asafoetida till soft. Drain and set apart.


Grind Coconut Paste:

Grind grated coconut, cumin seeds, and purple chilies with little water to a easy paste.
