Excreta in children's food...!? Dominant caste abuse..?

It has been reported that members of the dominant community near salem have threatened to kill a family belonging to an oppressed caste and indulged in acts of violence such as mixing faeces in their children's food. It is said that the Kamala Haasan-Rathika family from the Devanna Koundanur Podarankadu area next to Sangakiri in salem district has been living on government-alienated land for the past 50 years. It is also reported that the tax has been paid to the panchayat administration for 47 years. In this situation, it is said that Radhika's family, who belong to the dominant community near their house, Rajaratnam, Anandaraj, Pachaiyamma, etc., have been giving various threats and hardships for the past few years to ask Radhika's family to leave the area as they belong to an oppressed community.
Threatened to kill:

In that regard, it is said that four persons belonging to the dominant caste who came to their house a few days ago threw faeces on the children while they were eating, assaulted both radhika and her grandmother Suruthaiammal and tore their clothes. When the victims asked for justice in this regard, it is alleged that they cut down the banana trees near the house and threatened the two children in the house with a knife on their necks. As a result, the victim's family, who did not know what to do, filed a complaint at the Sangakiri police station. It is said that Sangakiri police did not take any action regarding this complaint. Following the incident, a complaint was made to the village Administrative Officer Murugan and a request was made from the victim's side to issue a patta to the place. The affected family filed a complaint with the salem district collector that the village Administrative Officer has acted in favor of the dominant community and that their family should be given proper protection and patta.

What did you say to the collector?

After receiving the petition, the district collector Karmegam contacted the concerned officials over the phone and ordered that appropriate action should be taken at the earliest. In the Pudukottai district, Venkaiwayal area of the Pudukottai district, before the issue of faeces in the drinking water tank, the incident of food contaminated with faeces in the salem district created a lot of excitement.

Will the government take action?

Even though the CBCID investigation is currently underway in the Vengai Valley case, the main opposition parties and movements of tamil Nadu are strongly criticizing the ruling DMK government saying that there is a lack of transparency in the investigation on the part of the government. A question has also arisen whether the DMK government, which identifies itself as a government for social justice and for all, will take swift action in this regard.
