Suspicious 'spyware' like apps have been found in the mobile phone of Sunita Jamgade, a resident of nagpur, Maharashtra. police said on thursday (June 5) that Sunita was detained on charges of espionage after being sent back by pakistan last month. Officials said that the incident of the 43-year-old woman entering pakistan has raised concerns for the security agencies. The agencies are investigating possible links related to espionage. An official of Kapilnagar police station said that the police have found several suspicious applications in her (Sunita's) phone, which are suspected to be spyware. These apps are being analyzed to know their purpose.

Who helped her go to Pakistan?

He further said, "Officials are investigating whether the woman had any accomplice who helped her go to Pakistan. The truth behind her motive, the app and the nature of her phone conversations will be revealed only after a detailed forensic and intelligence investigation."

Sunita left home on May 4

According to the police, Sunita allegedly entered pakistan from Hunderman village in Kargil, which is part of the Union Territory of Ladakh. police had earlier said that Sunita left nagpur with her 13-year-old son on May 4 and reached Kargil, from where she went to pakistan on May 14.

Handed over to india by Pakistani Army

According to the police, Sunita had allegedly left her son at a hotel before crossing the Line of Control (LoC). police said that after crossing the border, the Pakistani army caught Sunita and kept her in custody until she was officially handed over to the indian authorities.

The woman was in touch with Pakistanis before leaving

Preliminary investigation revealed that Sunita was in touch with two Pakistani nationals, identified as Zulfiqar and Pastor, before going missing. The amritsar police had registered a zero FIR, which was later transferred to Kapil nagar police station in Nagpur. A team from Kargil in Ladakh also reached nagpur on monday night to investigate the matter.
