Municipal Commissioner IS chahal said New Year celebrations in open areas in any part of the city were not permitted for any other party. Kovid-19 cases are likely to increase during the New Year celebrations, he said. He said there was a need to make some tough decisions to avoid this. 


Sanctions from 9 pm to 6 am ... 

The Maharashtra government is ready to control the rising number of corona cases. As part of that, it decided to impose sanctions from 9 p.m. The regulations were announced friday evening. 


According to the restrictions, no more than five people may be in groups in all public places across the state from 9 pm to 6 am. As well as restaurants, movie halls, theatres, gyms only need to operate at 50 per cent efficiency. 

It said the rules would also apply to function halls and wedding halls. Only 100 people are expected to attend weddings and other functions. There will be an exemption for up to 250 people for weddings held in open spaces.
