Travel cards will become mandatory for parking at all metro stations in chennai from tomorrow.

Parking:

In this case, the Metro rail Administration has issued a notification in this regard. A statement issued in this regard said that in order to promote cashless transactions, chennai Metro rail has announced that from april 19 (tomorrow), 2023, passengers will be required to park their vehicles in parking lots at all Metro rail stations instead of paying. Only travel cards will be accepted. This step has been taken for a more efficient, convenient, and secure payment system, as well as the need to reduce cash flow. Apart from this, passengers can enter and exit the parking lots faster. It will provide many benefits including transparency in transactions and convenience of cashless transactions.
Effective from tomorrow:

Passengers can get the Metro rail Travel Card at the ticket counters of all the Metro rail stations and at the parking lot of the Metro rail station. Metro rail Passengers can top up (TopUP) the travel card at the ticket counters in the Metro rail stations and also on the website of chennai Metro rail Corporation. Access to the parking lot is only available with travel cards. From april 19, 2023 (tomorrow), all passengers are requested to get their Metro rail Travel Cards as soon as possible as only Travel Cards will be accepted for parking their vehicles at all Metro Railway stations.
