This season saw the release of the two major motion pictures Veera simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya. The budgets for both movies were exceeded since the filmmakers continued getting better because of interdependent competition. balakrishna forcibly took the movies to Sankranthi and kept them next to Waltair Veerayya, despite the fact that Mythri Movies had originally intended to release them with at least a three-week break. This has led to more expenses and working days being required. Additionally, Mythri Movies has established its own distribution in the Naizam region.

When both movies were released one day apart, there was a huge controversy. Nobody knew for sure if the collections were real. Three days pass before there is any clarity. varasudu is a failure, VSR is the runner-up, and Waltair Veerayya is the winner. In Andhra Pradesh, Mythri Movies offered both movies to regular consumers who paid between 70 and 75 crores for them, with the stipulation that they would reimburse the GST in the event of a loss. If it had occurred, producers would have contributed at least Rs 25 crore to the GST as a whole.

However, based on the current trajectory, manufacturers appear secure. In Vizag, both movies were sold for Rs 18 Cr, but already Rs 10 Cr has come back. The movies have already brought in Rs 25 Cr from Naizam. There doesn't appear to be a necessity to pay the GSTs because the other sectors are also doing well. Giving both movies to the same buyer turned out to be the proper move because the loses from one could be made up for by the gains from the other. In a way, Waltair Veerayya is performing better, offsetting Veera simha Reddy's slowing effect.
