A month before the movie's scheduled release, actress samantha Ruth Prabhu saw the first screening of Shaakuntalam. samantha posted a photo of herself and the cast from the theatre on social media along with a thank-you note for director Gunashekar. Her post upped the bar for what is now expected of the movie in addition to praising the filmmaker.

And tonight I really watched the movie! Gunasekera the Great. My heart is with you. What a lovely movie! It was incredibly sweet to see one of our greatest epics brought to life! I am really excited for our family audiences to be overcome by the intense feelings! You kids out there are going to love our fantastic world, I can tell you that much. neelima and dil raju garu thank you for this beautiful adventure. Shaakuntalam will constantly be near to me!” Her note stated.


However, one of the fans commented that she makes a good pair with Dev Mohan and shared a photo of them both. The crew was pictured standing in front of a screen with Dev Mohan, samantha, and the young Allu Arha, daughter of Allu Arjun. The picture gives the impression of being the movie's climactic shot.
