Arunraja Kamaraj rose to fame with his smile in Raja Rani which had Arya, Jai, Nazriya and Nayanthara in the lead roles and also had music composed by G V Prakash Kumar. Following the cameo in Raja Rani, Arunraja Kamaraj teamed up with his friend Sivakarthikeyan in the film MaanKarate and played the hero's sidekick evoking laughter in many scenes. His acting skills were put to display even in the recently released Maragadha Naanayam / Maragadhamani which was received well by the audience.
Besides shining as an actor, Arunraja Kamaraj also is very famous for his lyrical and vocal talents. He wrote the lyrics for songs composed music director Santhosh Narayanan in movies like Pizza, Jigarthanda which became very famous. His " Neruppuda " song for Superstar Rajinikanth in Kabali was a rage. His combination with music director G V Prakash Kumar has always struck gold. The Theri theme song in their combo was a viral stuff. Their independant works like the Jallikattu song " Kombu Vecha Singamda " , Neduvasal song " Thiyaagam Seivom Va " , title song for the TNPL team Tuti Patriots have also been received well. He has also worked with many other music directors like Imman, Yuvan Shankar Raja and more. His recent work was for the movie Balloon starring Jai, Anjali, Janani and many in which Arunraja Kamaraj has penned all the songs.
Arunraja Kamaraj doesnt stop himself from writing lyrics alone, he also sings. Dind Dong in Jigardhanda, Neruppuda in Superstar's Kabali, Dubstep Theri in Thalapathy's Theri are some of his notable works as a singer.
This actor / lyricist / singer Arunraja Kamaraj is also stepping into the shoes of a director. His first directional venture is said to be a sports drama based on women's cricket. This probably is the first of its kind in Indian cinema and glad that Arunraja Kamaraj has made an attempt to make a film around it.
