Music director Vijay Antony, had a successful start to his acting career in Tamil, with his typical mannerisms, and peculiar characterizations in films like Naan, Salim, and the latest hit Yaman, which turned out to be commercial winners as well as receiving a decent critical response. The actor not just won the Tamil audience, but won the hearts of Telugu audience as well, with his Bichagadu.

Directed by Sasi, the film saw the actor playing a business tycoon who has to change his lifestyle to that of a beggar for saving his mother's life. The film became a hit in Tamil as Pichaikaran, and was later dubbed in Telugu as BIchagadu, and succeeded at the box office despite releasing alongside the Mahesh Babu biggie Brahmotsavam. The film completed even a 100 day run in many centers.

The actor later came up with Bethaludu, which couldn't quite set the Box office on fire, but is sure to win with his upcoming release, Indrasena, the dubbed version of his Tamil flick Annadurai. Directed by Debutant G.Srinivasan, the film is jointly produced by Vijay Antony and Radhika Sarathkumar, and the movie will deal with family sentiments and emotions in an action-packed screenplay, with Vijay Antony in two different looks. The film's trailer released yesterday, and the film is all set to release on December 1st.
