Puri Jagannadh was announced as the lucky director to wield megaphone for Megastar Chiranjeevi's 150th project, Auto Jaani. It was announced that the movie will have a grand launch on August 22nd for Chiranjeevi's Birthday and the film to begin regular shooting from September 2nd which happens to be Pawan Kalyan Birthday.
Normally Puri should be working on Auto Jaani script in this gap but he all of sudden announced a project with Nithin and said it will begin in June and finish in September. This announcement gave chance to the rumours that Puri is not going to direct Chiranjeevi etc. Later Nithin announced the project is shelved but Puri announced again that it is still on but with Varun Tej.
With all these confusions, a English daily on Saturday confirmed that Puri Jagannadh is out of Chiranjeevi's 150th film. With out giving a direct clarification on the rumours, Puri came up with an intelligent explanation. On Saturday night, he tweeted, "Just narrated 1st half to Megastar nd am happy he's thrilled..I want to work very hard to make 2nd half 10times better (sic)". Which means the project is very much on and Puri is not neglecting it.
