The multiplex association of india declared earlier this month that september 16 will be National cinema Day. It was announced that there would be 4000 multiplexes in the city selling tickets for Rs. 75 on that day. Later, september 23 was chosen as the new date. It was rumoured that Brahmastra's producers rushed the release date to increase ticket sales. Anyway, it is now official that this friday will be National cinema Day. This offer is not made to the audience in every theatre, though.

The PVR chain previously said that this promotion would not be available in numerous locations, including Hyderabad, Kochi, and others. Hyderabadis were disappointed by the announcement. The telugu language will see the release of Dongalunnaru Jagratha, krishna Vrinda Vihari, and Alluri the following week.

AMB Cinemas, a well-known multiplex, allowed advance reservations for krishna Vrinda Vihari and set a price cap on the tickets at regular rates. In a few multiplexes, the same is true of Dongalunnaru Jagratha. The public is now wondering why National cinema Day is being held if only half of the multiplexes are offering the promotion. At the very least, it is unclear which movies are covered by the offer. The way things are going, National cinema Day 2019 is going to be a complete bust.
