Bowman and Bailey of The Elephant Whispers made serious allegations against the producer, sent a legal notice

The director of The Elephant Whispers has been sent a legal notice by its real heroes Bomman and Bailey and has demanded Rs 2 crore.

 In the year 2023, The Elephant Whispers was the oscar Award-winning film in the Original Short Film category. Which was made on the real life of the mahout couple Bomman and Bailey. The film was produced by Guneet Monga and directed by Kartiki Gonsalves. Now this film has once again come into the limelight.  The real hero of this film i.e. Mahavat Kapal has now sent a legal notice to the film's producer Kartiki Gonsalves demanding 2 crores as a goodwill gesture. After the release of this film, both got a lot of popularity. Although both say that they were not given the money given by the government.

Bomman and Bailey did not get compensation.

According to the report, Bomman, and Bailey were presented in front of everyone as the real heroes of this film. Due to this, he got a lot of publicity. The producer of the film also received financial benefits from PM Modi and the chief minister of tamil Nadu.  After which Bomman and Bailey sent a legal notice to the producer demanding a proper house, multi-purpose vehicle, and payment from them based on income. Both say that they were promised all these things. which was not completed.

Kartiki refuses to help

At the same time, lawyer Mohammad Mansoor, who is looking into this whole matter, has received a counter-notice from Sikhya Entertainment Private Limited on behalf of Kartiki. In which he has refused any further help. She says that she has already given money to the couple. She said that after consulting my client, I will send her a rejoinder.


After this, Sikhya Entertainment Private Limited issued a statement saying,

 'The goal of making The Elephant Whispers was always to show the efforts of elephant conservation, forest department and its mahouts Bomman and Bailey. Since its launch, the documentary has raised awareness about the issue and has had a huge impact on the Mahout and Kavadi communities.

 Tamil Nadu chief minister MK stalin has donated to help the 91 mahouts and horsemen who take care of the state's elephants, build better houses for the caretakers and build an elephant camp in the Anamalai tiger Reserve.
