Kollywood industry actress Gauthami is living with her daughter Subbulakshmi in chennai, and the actress reportedly filed a police complaint after receiving death threats for her daughter. According to india Glitz, the actress has registered a complaint stating that her assets worth Rs 25 crore were defrauded when she decided to sell 46 acres of properties owned by her.
 The actress said that a builder named Allagappan and his wife approached her, promising to sell the properties, and have now defrauded her by creating forged documents.

Gutami has also reportedly mentioned that the builder has embezzled the assets and has made four fraud transactions.
 The actress has registered the complaint after she and her daughter received death threats, alleging that the builder Alagappan, with the help of political goons, is disturbing her and her daughter's lives. She also said that this issue has greatly disturbed her daughter and that she is not able to focus on her studies. She has requested that the chennai police take necessary action against the alleged accused and has also asked them to help her recover her properties legally.
 It is said that the chennai Central Crime Branch has filed the case, is now investigating it, and has also sent a notice to the builder asking him to be present for the inquiry.
