Directed by lokesh kanagaraj and starring Vijay, the film starred Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Trisha, gautham Menon, Myshkin, Mansoor Alikhan, sandy Master, Mathew Thomas, priya anand and others. The film has so far collected 500 crores worldwide. Vijay fans are celebrating the film. Especially the songs composed in Anirudh's music and the BGM have their own fan base.Meanwhile, the team has released the official theme video for Lokiverse 2.0. This song was played at the end of the movie Leo. Lokiverse 2.0 is shaping up to be a mash-up of the main themes of the three films under the LCU. That is, apart from Thalapathy Vijay starrer, the background music of kamal haasan starrer vikram and karthi starrer Kaithi have also been included. The song features the four main characters from LCU2 so far namely Dilli, Vikram, Leo Das, and Rolex. The film is produced by SS Lalit Kumar and jagadish Palaniswami under the banner of Seven Screen Studios, with cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj.
After Leo, lokesh kanagaraj is set to direct Rajinikanth's next. Tentatively titled Thalaivar 171, the film is being produced by sun Pictures, with Anirudh composing the music. It is said that the film will not come under LCU and will be a standalone film.
Apart from that, he is slated to direct films such as Kaithi 2, vikram 2, and Rolex. lokesh kanagaraj is also planning to direct an action film with actor Prabhas. After directing 10 films, lokesh has also announced his retirement from the film industry.
