Actress madhubala has spoken for the first time about why mani ratnam did not give her a chance after 'Roja'.

Actress madhubala, who is still giving young actresses a tough time at the age of 54, has spoken about why she was not given a chance by first-time director mani ratnam after 'Roja'.

Madhubala is one of the most prominent actresses who emerged as the leading heroine in tamil cinema in the 90s. In 1991, he made his debut in tamil with the film 'Azhagaan', followed by acting in various languages including Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, kannada etc.

'Roja' was one of the biggest turning points in his film career. She won the tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actress for her performance in this 1992 film directed by Mani Ratnam. He was also nominated for a Filmfare Award.

Generally, director mani ratnam gives opportunities to the actors and actresses acting in his direction to work in subsequent films. But madhubala was not the only one who did not get such an opportunity. Even in the film 'Iruvar' he gave an opportunity to dance for only one song.

In a recent interview, madhubala has opened up about this. "The reason why director mani ratnam did not give him a chance is my fault. It is because of my attitude. He is generally in touch with everyone working on his film. I am not in touch with him and that is why he did not give me a chance. Also because I had a drinking habit, I was not interested in acting in any big film," he said. .This information is currently creating a stir.

Movies like Gentleman, Senthamil Selvan, Mr. Romeo, Panchalangurichi, madhubala acted in tamil were well received by the fans. Notably, after a long gap after marriage, madhubala, who made a re-entry in tamil with the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Vaiyai Moodi Pesevam, is now continuing to act in character roles.
