The telugu film industry has been notably supportive of films from other languages, often releasing dubbed versions to cater to a diverse audience. Fans, regardless of language, appreciate good content, leading to widespread acceptance of films from different regions. However, there's criticism that some top heroes, apart from smaller productions, fail to adequately promote their films in hyderabad, especially tamil movies.

While stars like surya and karthi have been exceptions, there's a perception that others are less inclined to promote their work in Hyderabad. However, with telugu cinema gaining prominence pan India, more stars are now making efforts to promote their films in Hyderabad. For instance, the recent trailer launch of GV Prakash's film "Dear" saw participation from producer Nagavamshi, who jokingly pointed out Jeevi's absence at their previous film promotions.

GV, in response, explained his commitment to promoting another film, "Lucky Bhaskar," for which he is providing music. The light-hearted banter between the two reflects the growing importance of tollywood in the indian film industry. With the success of films like "Vainam," other industries are increasingly looking towards tollywood, prompting even major stars to visit hyderabad for promotions.

Thalapathy Vijay, for instance, previously less involved in telugu cinema, recently launched a telugu version of his film "Varasudu," indicating the growing synergy between different regional industries.
