'Kuberaa' stars tollywood King Nagarjuna, kollywood star dhanush, and national crush Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. Directed by sekhar Kammula, the film was released amidst good expectations at the Pan india level. The film got a good talk on the first day and gave enthusiasm to the producers with its weekend collections. It is noteworthy that it collected up to Rs. 80 crores in the first weekend itself. It especially surged with housefull shows in telugu states. However, this film, which had a successful run in telugu, is not performing as expected in tamil Nadu. Although it created a huge hype in tamil Nadu due to the presence of a star hero like dhanush, there is talk that the audience did not respond as expected.
Despite receiving praise from critics, it is believed that the tamil version failed to impress the mass audience. Due to this, the collections there have gradually decreased. Trade sources revealed that the film saw a sharp decline on monday after the first weekend. Overall, in the first three days, it collected Rs.48.5 crores in india and about Rs.15 crores in North America, while the worldwide gross collection was Rs.80 crores. But the decrease in collections since monday is worrying. Unlike sekhar Kammula's regular format of youthful love stories, the film is expected to have difficulty retaining the audience on weekdays as it is a dark drama. It is known that the film team recently celebrated the weekend collections. But when the weekend entered the days after that, the situation changed.

Especially, the lack of expected response from tamil Nadu, where dhanush has a core fan base, is affecting the first week's performance. Although there is a strong response in the telugu states, the tamil version's collections are lagging behind. In this context, trade analysts say that promotions need to pick up again before the second weekend. There is a need to create hype again by using positive word of mouth for the film. Now the target is the tamil audience. If the reach there increases, it will be possible to maintain the overall collections. Let's see what the next strategy of sekhar Kammula's team will be.
