Context: Deepika’s Exit from Spirit

Deepika Padukone reportedly exited Sandeep reddy Vanga’s Spirit after disagreements over working conditions.

Reports claimed she asked for:

8-hour work shifts

Profit-sharing model

Avoidance of speaking lines in Telugu

Her requests were reportedly turned down, leading to her replacement by Triptii Dimri opposite Prabhas.

Adivi Sesh’s Take on Working Hours

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sesh stressed mutual understanding between actors and filmmakers.

He explained:

Cinema doesn’t function like a “9 to 5 job.”

Shoot durations may run 6, 12, or even 18 hours, depending on the project.

What matters most is pre-agreed terms, not fixed rules.

His quote:

“If we say 8 hours, 6 hours, it’s an oversimplification. This is not a 9-to-5 job.”

On Deepika’s Motherhood and Flexibility

When asked if Deepika’s new motherhood influenced her request:

Sesh said the issue goes beyond personal circumstances.

Extended shooting schedules add costs and logistical challenges.

The key is striking a balance before filming starts.

“Motherhood or otherwise, the agreement must be clear in advance.”

Deepika’s Current Projects

After exiting Spirit, deepika signed a sci-fi film with director Atlee.

Tentatively titled AA22 x A6, it stars allu arjun and is backed by sun Pictures.
