The director had given him an ultimatum: “Either leave your girlfriend or continue with the film.”
Saif described this as a ‘dharmasankat’ (moral dilemma), where he had to choose between love and career.
Childhood Realization
Saif revealed that at the age of six, he realized cricket was not his calling.
Coming from a cricketing legacy, he accepted that he could not play like his father, Mansoor ali Khan Pataudi.
However, he believed he could shine in acting, inspired by his mother, legendary actress sharmila Tagore.
