Bhojpuri star Khesari Lal Yadav (Shatrughan Yadav) contested as the RJD candidate.
After 13 of 28 rounds, he is trailing BJP’s Chhoti Kumari by 7,739 votes.
Khesari initially had a slight lead, but the bjp candidate gained momentum as counting progressed.
Commenting on the situation, Khesari said:
“The public is always good… I trust only God, not humans.”
His emotional statement is widely circulating on social media.
Maithili Thakur Takes a Massive Lead
Popular folk singer Maithili Thakur contested from Alinagar as a bjp candidate.
After 18 rounds, she holds a huge lead of 79,472 votes.
Her primary challenger, RJD’s Vinod Mishra, is significantly behind.
Candidates from prashant Kishor’s party are also far back in the race.
Ritesh Pandey Remains in Fourth Position
Bhojpuri singer Ritesh Pandey entered politics through prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj Party.
He is contesting from Karakhahar.
Despite competition from bjp and RJD, he has remained in fourth place throughout the counting process.
Jyoti Singh Struggles in Karakat
Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh, is contesting as an independent candidate from Karakat.
She faces strong opponents from both BJP and RJD.
