Overview of the Case

A legal dispute has emerged surrounding the property of late businessman Sanjay Kapoor.

Samaira Kapoor, daughter of Karisma Kapoor, along with her brother, has filed a petition challenging the validity of Sanjay Kapoor’s will.

The petition alleges that the will naming priya Sachdev (Priya Kapoor) as the sole heir is invalid.

Court hearings are being conducted daily, with increasing media attention due to the high-profile nature of the case.

Controversy Over university Fees

During a recent hearing, Samaira Kapoor claimed that her university fees for two months had not been paid.

This allegation led the court to caution both parties against unnecessary dramatization.

In response, priya Kapoor’s lawyer produced documents to refute the claim.

A semester fee receipt amounting to ₹95 lakh was presented to the court.

The receipt showed that the fees had already been paid on time.

The next fee installment for the second semester is scheduled to be paid in December.

The lawyer emphasized that no dues were pending and that financial responsibilities toward the children were being met.

Where Samaira Studies

Samaira completed her schooling at the American school of Bombay, a well-known international institution.

She is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree at Tufts university in Massachusetts, USA.

Tufts university is recognized for its strong academic programs and global student community.

Despite her celebrity lineage, Samaira prefers privacy, keeping her social media accounts private and avoiding public attention.

Priya Kapoor’s Statement in Court

Priya stated that it is a family tradition for husbands to bequeath property to their wives.

Her lawyer noted that Sanjay’s father had similarly left his entire estate to his wife, rani Kapoor, through his will.

Following the same practice, sanjay kapoor left his assets to priya, reinforcing the validity of the will.

Priya’s legal team argued that this inheritance structure should not be considered unusual or suspicious.
