Abhishek Bachchan recently spoke about his stance on remaking any film originally done by his legendary father, amitabh Bachchan.

The actor made his comments during a session at the IFP Festival, where he openly discussed his admiration for his father’s cinematic legacy.

Abhishek clarified that despite being a part of the same industry, he has no desire to recreate any of Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic films.

🔹 A Lifelong Fan Before a Son

Abhishek emphasized that he has always been Amitabh Bachchan's biggest fan, even before being his son.

During childhood, he would repeatedly watch Amitabh Bachchan’s movies at every opportunity.

He recalled how he and his friends would re-enact scenes from his father’s films in the backyard.

Children would even fight over who got to play Amitabh Bachchan’s character each time, reflecting the enormous impact Big B had on that generation.

🔹 Why Remaking Won’t Work

According to Abhishek, there is no point in recreating films that are already perfect in their original form.

He firmly believes that the characters amitabh bachchan played cannot be portrayed better by anyone else.

Abhishek stated that he never watches his father’s films and wonders, "How would I have done that?— a thought that many actors commonly feel when watching the work of others.

Instead, he is always struck by how brilliantly amitabh bachchan performs, leaving no space for improvement.

🔹 A Father, a Legend, and an Inspiration

Abhishek expressed that amitabh bachchan will always remain the greatest actor in his eyes.

He acknowledged that, as actors, many people naturally feel ego about outperforming others, but Amitabh Bachchan’s work leaves no room for that ego.

For Abhishek, the emotional connection, admiration, and respect eliminate any desire to compete with or recreate Big B’s legacy.
