During promotions for her upcoming hollywood film The Bluff, priyanka chopra revealed she never intended to step away from Bollywood.


In an interview with Firstpost, she shared that while working in hindi cinema, she often felt limited and creatively restricted.


She explained that circumstances and industry pressures “pushed” her to look for more exciting and fulfilling opportunities abroad.


Despite the move, priyanka emphasized that leaving bollywood was never part of her original plan.


Feeling Limited in hindi Cinema


At the peak of her bollywood career, priyanka sought roles that challenged her as an artist.


She said she wanted to “move forward” and explore work that allowed her to grow creatively.


Moving to the united states opened doors that helped her relaunch her career internationally.


Nearly 12 years later, she feels she has finally gained the momentum to choose meaningful global projects.


Building a Career in Hollywood


Priyanka began exploring international opportunities in 2012 while launching her music career.


She made her hollywood acting debut with the lead role in the tv series Quantico, earning global recognition.


She went on to appear in major films like Baywatch and The Matrix Resurrections.


She currently stars in international projects, including Citadel and the upcoming action film Heads of State.


The Bluff, directed by Frank E. Flowers, is set to premiere on amazon Prime Video on february 25.


Belonging to Both Worlds


Priyanka says she loves her indian films and is happy to be back shooting in Varanasi.


She feels she belongs equally to bollywood and hollywood and doesn’t want to choose between them.


Upcoming Indian project with S. S. rajamouli marks her return to indian cinema after eight years.


The film reportedly stars mahesh babu and prithviraj Sukumaran, with a planned 2027 theatrical release.
